Conducting IV is where you stop learning gestures as a vocabulary and start treating the podium as an act of interpretation: the score becomes a text you analyze, hear internally, and translate into the precise physical shape that will pull a specific reading out of an ensemble. Weekly individual sessions push you through full score study, unmetrical and irregular gestures, and the practical logistics of planning a rehearsal week toward a performance. As the capstone of the conducting sequence, it assumes you already own the basic patterns and dynamics work, and shifts the question from "can you beat time" to "do you have something to say, and can your hands say it."
