Instrument VIII: Graduation Concert

MSC 432 is the capstone of the performance track—the semester where everything you've built across seven prior instrument courses gets distilled into a single public recital. You'll spend the term preparing a full graduation program alongside a mandatory jury-assigned piece handed to you only two weeks before the concert, which tests how quickly and musically you can internalize unfamiliar repertoire under pressure. Assessment is essentially the concert itself plus a presentation, so weekly lessons and rehearsals are aimed squarely at performing at a professional standard rather than covering new theoretical ground. It's less a course than the proof that you're ready to leave the conservatory.
