Singing Voice VII is the seventh-semester capstone of the applied vocal sequence, where the focus shifts from building technique to owning interpretation, making informed choices about style, phrasing, and expression in repertoire you've grown into over years of study. You'll prepare a progressively assigned set of pieces and perform them in three juried practical midterms plus a final, treating each work as a problem to be analyzed historically, musically, and technically before it's sung. Coming after Singing Voice I-VI, it expects you to already have the vocal mechanics in place; the real work here is designing your own practice and arriving at performances that sound like decisions, not defaults.
