A graduate-level continuation of one-on-one studio work, this course is really about refining your artistic voice on your instrument until interpretive choices become as deliberate as technical ones. You meet your instructor weekly to work through repertoire you've chosen together, and you're assessed through two midterm juries and a final practical exam where you actually perform. It sits within the performance track of the Music MA, building on the foundation of MSC 530 and pushing you toward the recital-ready, virtuoso-level execution that the program's later stages and your eventual professional career will demand.
