Master's Final Concert

The capstone of the MA performance track: you prepare and deliver a full evening of repertoire in front of a jury and public audience, with the program built around your instrument, your stylistic strengths, and what you've been shaping with your studio teacher over the prior semesters. Most of the term is spent in the practice room and in coachings refining the chosen works, with a lecture presentation contextualizing the program musicologically and stylistically before the recital itself. It's where everything from technique studies to chamber playing to score analysis converges into a single defensible artistic statement, and passing it is what actually earns you the degree.
