PSYC 102

Introduction to Social Psychology

The core question here is why people think, feel, and act differently when other people are in the picture, how the situation, not just personality, shapes behavior. You'll work through Aronson's textbook alongside lectures on cognition, conformity, prejudice, and group dynamics, with assessment built around two written exams (a paper proposal at the midterm and a term paper as the final), plus a quiz and homework. As the spring complement to PSYC 101, it grounds the experimental and methodological vocabulary you'll lean on in later courses on attitudes, organizations, and applied psychology.
