Statistical Methods in Psychological Science II

PSYC 205 picks up where PSYC 203 left off and pushes you from describing data into actually testing hypotheses about it, so the through-line is learning when each inferential test is the right tool and what its output really means about a psychological claim. You'll work through t-tests, ANOVA (one-way and factorial), correlation, and regression in JASP and Excel across weekly labs and three homeworks, with a final that expects you to read a scenario, pick the appropriate test, and defend your interpretation. It's the statistical backbone for everything empirical you'll do later in PSYC, from research methods to your senior thesis, which is why most upper-level psych electives assume you can already run and read these analyses.
