Senior Project

THM 418 is the capstone where you actually do tourism research instead of just reading about it: a team picks a real question, defends a methodology, gets ethics approval, collects and analyzes its own data, and defends the findings at the end of the semester. The whole semester is structured around weekly deliverables, topic, outline, literature review, instrument design, two data collection phases, draft sections, culminating in a written report, a poster, and a 3-minute thesis defense. It's where the theory and methods courses from the THM curriculum stop being abstract; you're expected to behave like a junior researcher, manage a team, and produce something you could plausibly hand to someone in the industry.
