Senior Project

THM 418 is the capstone where you actually do tourism research instead of just reading about it: a team picks a real question, defends a methodology, gets ethics approval, collects and analyzes its own data, and defends the findings at the end of the semester. The whole semester is structured around weekly deliverables — topic, outline, literature review, instrument design, two data collection phases, draft sections — culminating in a written report, a poster, and a 3-minute thesis defense. It's where the theory and methods courses from the THM curriculum stop being abstract; you're expected to behave like a junior researcher, manage a team, and produce something you could plausibly hand to someone in the industry.
