A hands-on studio course where you build the manual visualization vocabulary every graphic designer eventually needs — translating ideas into convincing images through traditional media before they ever touch a screen. You'll spend most weeks at the desk working through structured exercises in pencil, graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, pastels, markers, ink, and wet media, with three homework projects layered on top of weekly classwork. Think of it as the analog foundation that feeds directly into sketching, concept development, and illustration work you'll do throughout the GRA track; the muscle memory and tonal sensitivity you develop here is what separates a designer who can rough out an idea from one who can only describe it.
