Ancient Greek II

Building directly on Ancient Greek I, this course pushes you through the second half of Athenaze (lessons 10-20), where the grammar stops being introductory and starts demanding real syntactic analysis, participles, more verb moods, complex subordination. Weekly work is parsing and translation: you'll grind through homework sets, quizzes, and in-class reading of graded Attic prose, with a midterm and final that test the same skills under time pressure. It's a tools course for archaeology students who want to read inscriptions, papyri, or literary sources in the original rather than relying on translations, and it's the bridge to actually engaging with unadapted classical texts down the line.
