Ancient Greek III closes out the three-semester language sequence, taking you from grammar drills to actually reading Attic prose with the syntactic precision the texts demand. You'll work through the second half of Athenaze alongside Morwood's grammar and the Pocket Oxford dictionary, with the grade riding entirely on weekly homework and eight quizzes that test vocabulary recognition, parsing, and translation. With I and II as prerequisites and no exam to hide behind, the semester is essentially sustained translation practice — the bridge between learning the language and being able to read inscriptions, papyri, or literary sources you'll encounter in upper-level archaeology and classics coursework.
