Research Methods II

The second half of the graduate research sequence shifts you from designing a study to communicating one: turning your interior/environmental design investigation into a publishable paper and a conference-grade talk. Most of the term is spent actually writing — drafting a literature review, revising an academic essay through successive edits, and building the slide deck that goes with it — rather than learning about writing in the abstract. It assumes you have already chosen a research question and gathered data in the prior methods course, and the output (a submitted paper or conference presentation) is typically what feeds your thesis chapter or first publication, so the work you do here tends to outlive the semester.
