Introduction to Business II

This hands-on course mainly focuses on data analysis, which the students will practice during their academic and business life. The students will gain the necessary skills to evaluate, interpret and display data, and additionally, make projections by selecting appropriate functions and decision-making tools (i.e. What-If Analysis) in spreadsheet applications. They will solve optimization problems with a linear programming approach by Solver add-in and practice TVM (Time Value of Money) functions. Moreover, the students will gain an insight into automated tasks that can be conducted with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and discover the Python environment and its instruments (modules) by basic programming concepts. At the end of the course, students will be able to improve their analytical skills and master algorithmic thinking.
