Principles of Accounting I

This course is an Accounting course designed for Law students. The objective of the course is to demonstrate an understanding of the use of accounting information in legal practice. The course introduces the students to the underlying concepts and principles of preparing and analyzing financial statements in different types of legal practices such as sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. The topics covered include Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the users and uses of accounting information, the accounting cycle, reporting and analyzing financial statements.
