Finance boils down to one question — what is something worth today given uncertain cash flows tomorrow — and this course gives you the toolkit to answer it for bonds, stocks, and corporate projects. You'll move from time-value-of-money mechanics into valuation, capital budgeting, and the risk-return tradeoff, practicing through weekly quizzes, homework sets, and a couple of projects alongside the midterm and final. It assumes you've done the accounting and basic stats groundwork, and it's the gateway to electives in corporate finance, investments, and international finance, plus the baseline literacy any business graduate is expected to walk out with.

An FZ grade will be given to those students who have accumulated a percentage grade point of less than 8 out of a total of 30 on the assignments and have a midterm exam grade of less than 25 out of 100.
