Management decisions rarely come with clean answers, and this course is about turning messy business problems into mathematical models you can actually solve. You'll spend the semester formulating linear programs, running them through Excel Solver, and pushing into IP, network flows, project scheduling, and simulation, with sensitivity analysis to interpret what the output really means. It's the quantitative backbone for operations, finance, and supply chain electives later on — once you've seen how a real LP behaves under changing parameters, intuition about tradeoffs stops being guesswork.
