MAN 307 is where you stop thinking about finance as a bunch of formulas and start thinking like someone actually running a firm's money: deciding which projects are worth funding, how to pay for them, and what that mix does to the value shareholders, bondholders, and managers each care about. Expect to spend the semester pulling apart pro-forma statements, running DCF and WACC valuations on real cases, and defending a two-part project in front of the class, with a midterm and final on top. It's the bridge between your introductory accounting and economics background and the upper-level electives on investments, valuation, and corporate strategy — basically the toolkit any business student needs before doing anything serious with capital.
