You will spend the term pulling apart real 10-Ks: computing ratio sets, running cross-sectional and time-series comparisons, weighing earnings quality, and ultimately writing a formal analysis report that values a company you have researched yourself. It sits at the bridge between accounting and finance, giving you the lens you will reuse in corporate finance electives, equity research, and any job where someone hands you a set of statements and expects a verdict.
