This elective takes the tools you picked up in intro operations management and zooms out to ask how a firm's day-to-day operational choices — capacity, quality, sourcing, process design — actually win or lose competitive ground over the long run. Most of the work happens through cases and a field study where you survey or interview real firms operating in Turkey, comparing their strategic profiles against patterns seen in the US, China, and Ghana. It's a good capstone-feeling course if you've done the core OM sequence and want to see how those frameworks plug into corporate and marketing strategy rather than living in isolation.
