Thermo-Fluids Engineering I

ME 211 is where you learn to track energy as it moves through and changes systems—whether that's a piston compressing gas, water flowing through a pipe, or a refrigerator pumping heat against its will. You'll spend the semester drawing control volumes, looking up properties in steam tables, and writing energy balances for everything from Rankine cycles to Bernoulli flows, backed up with weekly problem sets, labs, and quizzes alongside two midterms. It's the foundation that ME 212, heat transfer, and every later thermal/fluid course assumes you already own, so the goal isn't memorizing the first and second laws but learning to reach for them automatically when a real system shows up on the page.
