One-on-one instrument instruction open to non-majors who clear an audition, where you pick up flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, or another offered instrument from scratch or build on prior training. Weekly lessons revolve around assigned repertoire: you work through pieces with your instructor, develop practice routines, and refine technique against the standards of the classical tradition. It sits in the university's elective pool as a way for students from any department to get serious studio training, and the skills carry forward into ensemble courses or further individual study at higher MSC numbers.
