Research Methods in Psychological Science II

PSYC 206 is where you stop just learning about research and start actually doing it — building on the foundations from PSYC 204, you move into the messier territory of factorial, correlational, and quasi-experimental designs that real psychology questions actually require. The semester is structured around running your own studies end-to-end: you'll formulate hypotheses, write an APA-style proposal, defend it in an oral presentation, navigate peer review and ethics, and ultimately present a scientific poster. Treat it as your first real apprenticeship in the research cycle that upper-level courses, capstone work, and any future grad school application will assume you've already lived through.
