Statistics and Quantitative Methods

Quantitative reasoning for tourism and hospitality managers: how to turn raw operational data, occupancy rates, guest surveys, revenue figures, into defensible decisions under uncertainty. You'll work through problem sets and a homework project covering descriptive statistics, probability distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, and regression (the last chapter done in Excel), with a midterm and final testing whether you can pick the right tool and interpret the output, not just memorize formulas. It's the methodological backbone that later THM electives in revenue management, marketing research, and finance quietly assume you already have.
