Movement and Combat I

Acting is a physical craft before it's a verbal one, and this studio course trains the body as the actor's primary instrument — building the strength, flexibility, and spatial awareness that make stage presence possible. Each session moves through three layers: a Movement Laboratory warm-up rooted in Allan Wayne Work, Viewpoints exercises that develop tempo, kinesthetic response, and ensemble listening, and free improvisation to music. As the first half of a year-long sequence, it lays the groundwork that later voice, scene study, and combat courses assume you already have in your body.

1. Part- Movement Laboratory Basic exercise. (Warm up, stretching-strengthen muscles on the floor and the bar. 2. Part- Viewpoints exercise. ( Sun salutations, soft focus) 3. Part- Improvising dance and movement with the music

1. Part- Movement Laboratory Basic exercise. (Warm up, stretching-strengthen muscles on the floor and the bar. 2. Part- Viewpoints exercise. ( High jumps, five images ,twelve/six/four, listen to each-other and collective creation.) 3. Part- Improvising dance and movement with the music.
