Fundamentals of Acting II

Building on the foundations laid in the fall, this semester pushes you from solo exercises into actual scene work, partnering up, taking on a character, and getting it on its feet in front of the class. Expect a mix of studio time (Meisner repetitions, Balk channel work, warm-ups) and written work like character analyses and critiques of plays you attend. The core idea is learning to make honest, specific choices under imaginary circumstances, which becomes the working vocabulary you'll carry into every studio and rehearsal course that follows.
