Voice and Speech II

Building on the breath and vocal foundations from the fall, this spring course shifts focus to Turkish phonetics — drilling the individual sounds of the language until articulation becomes precise, projected, and free of impediments on stage. Most of your time goes into weekly word-list worksheets and quizzes that train your mouth to shape each sound cleanly, then transitions in the second half to applying that technique to a contemporary monologue you'll refine and perform for the final exam. It's the bridge between knowing how your voice works and being able to use it expressively in performance, which is why everything that comes later in the acting sequence assumes you can already be heard and understood.
