Physical Chemistry II

Physical Chemistry II picks up where the thermodynamics half left off and turns to how chemical systems actually evolve in time, how molecules move through gases and liquids, how fast reactions go and why, and what's happening at the microscopic level when bonds break and form on surfaces or in catalytic cycles. You'll work through Atkins chapter by chapter, grinding out rate-law derivations, diffusion and viscosity problems, Arrhenius and collision-theory calculations, plus quizzes, a midterm, and lab-style data analysis on real kinetic measurements. It rounds out the core physical chemistry sequence and feeds directly into anything involving reaction engineering, catalysis, or biophysical kinetics later on.
