Digital Culture

The rapid development of information and communication technologies has introduced new structures of thinking to reflect on political, social, economic, and cultural realms of the globe. New communication media as the initiator of media revolutions accelerate the social change. Information monopoles breaks and differences of knowledge decrease. But at the same time the amounts of information and the risk of disinformation increase. This course will introduce and discuss selected media theories in the context of the societal change to a media culture.
