Economic Theory for Engineers

ECON 207 teaches engineers to model decisions under scarcity — how consumers, firms, and markets respond when something changes — using the same calculus-and-optimization toolkit you already know, just applied to people instead of physical systems. You'll work through four problem sets that move from supply-and-demand intuition into intermediate microeconomic analysis: utility maximization, cost minimization, and market equilibrium. It's the required economics exposure for engineering majors, and it gives you the vocabulary to reason about tradeoffs, pricing, and policy whenever your technical work has to meet a budget or a market.
