Expect long studio sessions building 2D and 3D pieces module by module, defending your work at juries, and iterating based on critique instead of grades on a problem set. It's the gateway course for everyone in the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture; the visual vocabulary and studio discipline you build here carry directly into FA 102 and every studio that follows.

80% attendance is a must for the design studio. Attending the prejury with a submission is a pre-requisite to attend to the final jury. As such, not submitting the pre-jury will result in a failing grade (FZ) for the course. Not attending the final jury also results in a failing grade (FX).
