Foundation Studio II

Building directly on the formal vocabulary you picked up in FA 105, this studio is where the language of design gets its second dimension: color as a working system, plus the leap from flat composition into volume and time-based work. You'll cycle through roughly a dozen back-to-back projects, mixing acrylic value and color scales, building palettes, doing analog and digital collage, isometric rendering, structural packaging, and a 4D final, with critiques replacing exams as the main feedback loop. It's a deadline-heavy semester that trains the studio habits and visual judgment every later FA, GRA, COMD, and IAED course assumes you already have.
