Basic Design II

The studio shifts from flat composition into three dimensions, asking how space itself behaves once a human body has to move through it, sit in it, or share it with others. You'll spend most of the semester in the studio working through two project modules on spatial dynamics and spatial design, defending your work at a pre-jury and a final jury rather than sitting exams. It's the second half of the foundation year sequence that every FADA student passes through before branching into architecture, interior, or graphic tracks, so the habits you build here, iterating from sketch to model under critique, set the tone for every studio that follows.
