IAED 201 is where you stop drawing pretty rooms and start actually designing spaces — taking a real site and a real program, then defending why your spatial layout, circulation, and human-scale decisions work. The semester runs as a studio: a short warm-up project, then a longer main project developed through weekly desk critiques, two pre-juries, a midterm, and a final jury where you present boards and models to a panel. It's the first proper design studio after the foundation year, so the habits you build here — concept development, iteration under critique, professional presentation — carry directly into every studio that follows.
