The second design studio is where you start treating interiors as real problems to solve rather than aesthetic exercises — you take a given space and program, work out how people actually move and live in it, and translate that into a coherent design grounded in materials, construction logic, and lighting. The semester runs on a warm-up project followed by a longer final project, paced by weekly desk critiques, two prejuries, and a midterm drawing exam. It builds directly on IAED 201 and lays the groundwork for the more demanding studios ahead, so the habits you form here — concept development, iteration under critique, defending decisions at jury — carry through the rest of the degree.
