Building on the structural focus of the first semester, this course shifts toward the surfaces and details that actually shape an interior — floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, staircases, mezzanines, and how to intervene in existing buildings rather than starting from scratch. Most of the work happens through two term projects where you survey a real space, pick materials with sustainability and function in mind, and produce proper construction drawings including reflected ceiling plans and staircase details. It is where freehand studio thinking starts meeting the technical drawing conventions you will lean on in later studios and in practice.

Minimum Requirements to Qualify not to take FZ: 1-The sum of two quizzes average and 60 % of the Midterm out of 100 should be more than 50. 2- You should attend 75 % of class hours (including critique sessions during the term project development and seminar presentations).
