Corporate Finance

Corporate finance is about how firms decide where to put money and where to get it from, and this course builds the valuation toolkit that makes those two questions tractable: discounted cash flows, risk-adjusted required returns, and the trade-offs baked into capital structure and payout choices. You'll work through Brealey & Allen alongside problem sets and a project, applying CAPM-style pricing to bonds, stocks, and capital budgeting cases, then pushing into how leverage and financing actually change firm value. It sits at the core of the MBA finance sequence, the same NPV and cost-of-capital machinery shows up later in valuation, investments, and any strategy course where you have to justify a number.
