Singing for Theatre I

Theatre actors need voices that carry, stay on pitch, and survive eight-show weeks, and this course is where you build the basic technical foundation for that. You'll spend studio time on warm-ups like straw phonation and lip trills, sight-reading in small ensembles, and performing short pieces individually so your instructor can diagnose breath support, intonation, and resonance one voice at a time. It sits early in the theatre track as the prerequisite layer for later acting and musical-theatre work, where you're expected to already treat your voice as a trained instrument rather than something you just hope shows up on stage.
