Singing Voice III

Singing Voice III is the third semester in the applied vocal studio sequence, where the focus shifts from building basic technique to integrating musicality with mechanical control so you can interpret a piece rather than just sing through it. You'll work one-on-one on an assigned repertoire list, learning to read each piece in its stylistic and historical context, diagnose your own technical problems, and design practice routines to fix them, with progress measured almost entirely through practical juries across the semester. It sits in the middle of the four-semester voice track, so the standards expected here are what everything later (recitals, advanced rep) will assume you already have.
