Singing Voice IV

The fourth semester of one-on-one vocal study, where the focus shifts from building basic technique to applying it across a wider, more demanding repertoire chosen with your instructor. Each week you prepare assigned pieces and bring them to lesson, with three practical juries through the term and a final performance jury where you're graded on tone production, musicality, and how well you've internalized the style, language, and markings of each work. It builds directly on MSC 251 and feeds into the upper-level voice courses, and the real point is learning to diagnose your own technical problems and design the practice that fixes them, since by this stage your teacher expects you to drive your own preparation.
