The fifth installment of Bilkent's performance-track vocal studies, this course pushes you past learning notes into the harder work of interpretation — making musical sense of repertoire by reading its period, harmony, phrasing, and text as one integrated whole. The semester runs on a progressively assigned rep list that you prepare in lessons and present across three practical midterms and a final, with no written component. By this stage you're expected to diagnose your own technical and musical problems and design the practice that fixes them, which is the foundation everything in your senior recital year is built on.
