Acting I

Acting I is where you start treating performance as a disciplined craft rather than imitation, working through Stanislavski's System and the Method of Physical Actions to build characters from the inside out. Most of your time is spent in the studio rehearsing two-character scenes from Ancient Greek tragedy and Commedia dell'Arte, with regular scene presentations, improvisations, and a midterm performance that put the technique under pressure in front of the class. As the foundational studio in the Theatre track, it gives you the working vocabulary and rehearsal habits that every later acting, directing, and scene-study course assumes you already own.
