The third installment of the voice and speech sequence shifts the focus from technique in isolation to technique fused with text, character, and the demands of the acting studio. You spend the term wrestling with Shakespeare and other Elizabethan material—sonnets, speeches, monologues—learning to carry breath, projection, and articulation through heightened verse without losing the impulse underneath. Building on the foundations laid in years one, it trains the vocal instrument as something inseparable from acting choices, which is the working assumption every subsequent studio and rehearsal course will make of you.
