Intermediate Film Production I

COMD 305 is where you stop treating filmmaking as a sequence of separate skills and start running an actual production pipeline end-to-end — pre-production, shooting, sound, edit, color, and distribution as one continuous craft decision. You'll work mostly in small crews on a series of short digital projects (narrative, documentary, experimental) that culminate in a portfolio-quality final piece, assessed through lab work, a midterm, a final, and ongoing critique. It builds on the intro production sequence and is the bridge to the advanced studio and thesis-track work in the program, so the goal is less "learn the camera" and more "show you can deliver a finished film on a deadline."
