Basic computer literacy: terminology, system components, and operation. Fundamentals of computer programming with Java: sequence, decision, repetition, methods, parameters, arrays, syntax, style, compilation, debugging and maintenance. Object-oriented programming with Java: objects, classes, inheritance, polymorphism, abstract classes, and interfaces. The emphasis is on an object-oriented engineering approach with proper analysis and design to solve large problems using computers.
