Introduction to Programming in Python

CS 115 teaches you to think like a programmer using Python as the vehicle — moving from basic syntax and control flow toward functions, classes, and the habit of decomposing messy problems into clean abstractions. Expect weekly labs where you actually write code, a lab exam that checks you can do it under pressure, and a written midterm and final that test whether you understand what your code is doing (not just that it runs). It's the foundational coding course that everything later in CS leans on, and by the end you'll be comfortable enough with data structures, complexity, and plotting to handle the computational side of almost any engineering or science elective.
