The fifth semester of Bilkent's chorale builds on the same foundation as earlier levels — vocal technique, sight-reading, and ensemble blend — but at this point you're expected to hold your own line confidently in three- and four-part textures while responding to the conductor in real time. Most of the work happens in rehearsal: you learn assigned repertoire by ear and from the score, refine tone and stylistic phrasing as a section, and commit to every scheduled concert. It's a performance credit rather than a theory course, so the payoff is the polished public concerts at the end of the term.
