Cognitive neuroscience sits at the intersection of biology and psychology, asking how physical activity in neural tissue gives rise to perception, attention, memory, and thought — and, just as importantly, how we can actually measure that link with tools like fMRI, EEG, and lesion studies. You'll work through the major sensory and higher-order systems via lectures and discussions, with a midterm, final, and homework that push you to read primary literature critically rather than just memorize brain regions. It builds naturally on intro psych and biological psychology, and is the standard launching point for anyone heading toward research in perception, clinical neuropsychology, or graduate work in the mind sciences.
